Our design ethos is grounded in our team’s newspaper background — the story (in the broadest sense) informs the visual direction. Illustrator Carlos Amato condenses complex content into striking images. Graphic designer Quincy Tsatsi brings a bold, functional edge to his work, drawing on street art sensibilities.

We write ad copy and marketing copy — either for existing campaigns, or in collaboration with creative agencies and marketing teams. Linelight specialises in funny, emotive and surprising work. But when serious and functional projects come our way, we tuck into our writing fundamentals: clarity, economy & effective structure.

We script video and audio productions of any length — from commercials to explainer and educational videos, podcasts and animations. Our scriptwriting style is defined by energy, brevity and comedy. We love to unlock the flair of actors & narrators. We are allergic to waffle. We don’t do boring.

We edit and design annual reports for NGOs and companies, and we write desktop research reports and conference reports. Our versatility draws on decades of experience in covering several terrains: politics, sustainability, business, development, culture and sport. Our conference reports capture nuance and detail, in language that makes expertise accessible.

If you’ve got a nonfiction book in you, or a speech in you, we can get it out of you. The process begins with a series of interviews to discover the story to be told or the message to be sent. Then we produce up to three drafts, addressing your feedback with each iteration, before a final draft is produced.    

We offer three editing services: developmental editing of book plans or manuscripts; intensive revision and copy editing of incoherent documents; and the fact-checking and revision of AI-generated documents.
